Starface Shopping Spree Review

Starface Shopping Spree Review

How it Started:

It all started when I noticed that the people around me were wearing star shaped stickers on their faces, "A new trend?" I thought to myself and it never came to me that they were actually pimple patches since the concept of pimple patches were also pretty new to me.
How I found out about was through social media when I saw the online world go into a frenzy.  When I eventually Googled my question, "Why are people wearing stars on their faces?" my questioned was answered.
Starface was an acne treatment brand that is most known as a pimple patch company which expanded to lip balms, skincare, and pore strips with more coming in the future as the company grows.  The colorful stars I saw on people's faces were pimple patches right about the same time I ended up getting pimples myself.

Getting Starface at Walmart:

Once I started to notice getting pimples on my face, especially the nose I used this situation as an "excuse" to go buy Starface and see if it is worth the hype or not which meant a trip to my local Walmart.
To get the Starface products it ended being a little bit of a treasure hunt.  They were in the "self-care" section with the shampoos, razors, deodorant, and of course other pimple patch brands such as Mighty Patch.
All Starface products were locked up and the staff who was working in the section was very busy with other customers who wanted products from the locked up shelf.  The Starface products to choose from was very limited including the choice of colors and many of the refillable pimple patches were gone, but as a first timer I chose to go with the original compact case Big Yellow as yellow was their signature color for their products.

Big Yellow

Big Yellow is Starface's mascot that came from outer space who did not get why acne and pimples were something to be ashamed of.  It has stars for eyes and a smile which is the signature logo for Starfaces' products.

Getting Starface for Cheaper:

After going to Walmart several times to restock on Starface pimple patches I went one the website to discover that not only Starface sells pimple patches but also their own lip balm (Star Balm), pore strips,  and skincare products.  I realized that they had a bundle pack which allows you to choose a couple items for a cheaper price compared to what you would buy individually.

The online order from the Starface website came in!

Does it work?

In my experience the Starface pimple patches do work on gathering up the oil on the skin but does not really work once the pimple is already formed unless the pimple is popped.  It also stays well on the skin.  As for the Star Balm whenever I put it on it creates pimples on the edges of my lips which is sometimes painful.

Overall:

Overall I would say that one thing from Starface that I love the most is the Star Balm Mango Mania which most likely will get me to return to the Starface World.
