Getting Started

As I was doomscrolling along YouTube Shorts a video by @SauccEats came up.

Fine dining on a budget (pt 16) by @SauccEats, YouTube Shorts

As always the video started off with the words, "This is for the homies who are broke,...," and as someone who is broke but been wanting to cook I decided to make it.

The Making Process

Ingredients: Three Eggs, Salt, Pepper*, and Ketchup*

Note that I used these ingredients for personal customization*

Steps:

  1. Crack the eggs open and separate the egg whites and the yolk while doing so.
  2. Whisk the eggs until it becomes stiff peaks
  3. Move on to the yolk and add salt and/or pepper mix
  4. Put a little bit of the whisked egg in the yolk
  5. Mix the yolk and the little bit of whisked eggs
  6. Transfer the batch to the whisked eggs
  7. Fold the yolk and egg white together but not to much
  8. Put your pan on low heat and then cover it with butter
  9. Pour in mixture
  10. Put on lid and wait around 5-10 minutes then fold
  11. Cook on one side for around 1-2 minutes then then repeat on the other side*
  12. Put omelet on the plate and put some ketchup on it.  (You can make a cool design with the ketchup if you want.)*
These are the steps I added but doesn't hurt to do*

Result

This is the result I got when making this omelet:

The results were a nice jiggly fluffy pancake but I think I should have added more salt and pepper but the ketchup definitely took the omelet to the next level!

I rate this an 4.5 stars out of 5
